ABOUT US

OUR TEAM

Redstone Title Services, LLC.

Redstone Title Services, LLC, is a full-service title insurance agency based in Huntsville, Alabama, providing real estate settlement services, title insurance and title searches across Alabama and Tennessee. Redstone Title Services is dedicated to providing thorough and efficient service of the highest caliber to our customers, so they have peace of mind in their most important transactions. The extensive experience of our staff, our focus on quality over quantity, our effective use of technology and our genuine belief in our professional values have made us a leader in our industry since the company’s start in 2014.

Pre-Closing Team

The Redstone Title Services pre-closing team takes care of your title file from order until it is scheduled to close. Mackenzie Thrower, Addie Irwin and Gwen Bell open the title order, receive the search from our abstractors, and prepare our title commitments and preliminary closing disclosures. They also coordinate all parties to each transaction, making sure that every facet of each closing is handled professionally and efficiently.

Closing Team

Redstone Title Services’ closing team consists of Trish Higgins, Jamie Elliott, Marla Daily and Pauline Childers. They take each title file from scheduling through funding, preparing the closing disclosures and documents needed and handling escrow funds, protecting our customers’ investment and bringing everyone together to close. Each closer has more than 20 years of real estate experience,
and they are some of the best and brightest in the industry.

Abstractors

Redstone Title Services has two title abstractors on staff. Jennifer Moore and Jennifer Hicks handle our title searches in several counties, searching the county’s public land records for each property and providing a report to RTS for each property file that passes through our hands. With nearly 40 years’ experience between them, you’d be hard pressed to find a more knowledgeable team of
abstractors.

HELOC Team

The Redstone Title Services HELOC team consists of Anelisse Westmeyer, Erin Wilson and Markelda Umfleet. This superstar team process the title files, including searches, commitments, closing documents and title insurance policies, for all the home equity lines of credit for Redstone Federal Credit Union.

LEADERSHIP

Todd R. Howard

President

Todd R. Howard has more than a decade of experience in handling real estate closings, conducting title searches and issuing title insurance. What he likes most about working at Redstone Title Services is handing his customers the keys to their property after they have been through all the other processes with different organizations and people.

After anticipating and hoping that every step will happen just right, Todd’s team gets to complete the process and tie a bow around it. Before becoming president of Redstone Title Services, Todd practiced law for several years with a law firm in Huntsville where he completed thousands of real estate transactions. In addition to handling real estate, he had a thriving civil litigation practice. Even though his private practice was rewarding, he made the decision to close his litigation practice and accept the challenge to lead Redstone Title Services. However, he still maintains his licenses to practice law in Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida. He also is a licensed title agent in Alabama and Tennessee.

Todd is a graduate of Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. He began his legal practice with a small civil litigation firm in St. Petersburg before returning home to North Alabama.
Outside of his legal career, Todd stays involved in multiple philanthropic and leadership projects. He currently serves on the Madison County 310 Board and the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau of North Alabama and regularly volunteers with groups at the University of Alabama at Huntsville.

Brian E. Monroe

General Counsel

Brian E. Monroe is General Counsel for Redstone Title Services, LLC, bringing a wealth of industry experience and knowledge to the team in both residential and commercial real estate, along with other areas of practice.

Brian was born in Opelika, Alabama and attended Auburn University, where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Finance. Brian earned his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and continued his education at the University of Alabama School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 2002.

Since his admission to the Alabama State Bar in 2002, Brian has practiced law in Huntsville and Scottsboro at several reputable firms including his own, Monroe Title, LLC. He is a member of the Huntsville/Madison County Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Alabama Land Title Association, the Southeast Land Title Association, and the American Land Title Association. Brian served on the Alabama Department of Insurance Commissioner’s Industry Advisory Committee to draft the State of Alabama’s Title Agent Licensing Examination. He was also a member of the Alabama Land Title Association’s Governmental Affairs Committee, which drafted the state’s Title Agent licensing regulations.

Brian lives in Huntsville with his wife, Jodi, and three daughters, Morgan, Leah and Ella.

Julia E. Malueg

Operations Manager & Counsel

Julia Malueg is a “people person.” Growing up, her goal was to work in a place “where you have to dress up and talk to people all day.” Today, she uses her passion for people to ensure that each closing is seamless, communication is effective and each person feels heard.

Prior to her law career, Julia worked as a contractor in the Department of Defense;
although she never pursued an engineering degree, she performed as a software tester and eventually led a team to determine software testing strategies. During her employment with the DOD, Julia learned life-long lessons, like the importance of metrics
and efficiency.

Julia is a graduate of Cumberland School of Law, where she earned her law degree and her Master of Business Administration simultaneously. In law school, Julia clerked for various law firms spanning multiple practice areas including civil litigation, family law and special education litigation.  After graduating from Cumberland, Julia accepted an associate attorney position at an employment discrimination litigation firm in Birmingham, Alabama, where she assisted in litigating federal cases; however she soon realized her passion was better served in a position where she could interact with people on a daily basis.

In her spare time, Julia loves traveling, and makes it a goal to go somewhere new every year. In college, Julia studied French at the Institute Catholique de Paris in France; in law school, she attended the University of Cambridge in the UK, where she took a variety of law courses. Her other travels include Mexico, Ireland, Scotland, Belgium, and Italy, but she is always thankful to return to her hometown of Madison, Alabama.
